Dry Fried Green Beans
Ingredients
- 1 Shallot, sliced thin
- 1 whole cinnamon stick
- Peel of ½ orange
- 2 oz chinese bbq pork, sliced thin
- ¼ cup peanut oil
- 1 lb green beans
- ½ teaspoon honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic chili paste
Directions
- In a small bowl add together the honey and soy sauce. Set aside.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and toss in beans to blanche (about 5 minutes).
- While the beans are blanching, heat up peanut oil in wok until just smoking.
- Add in shallot, cinnamon, orange peel, and ham. Crisp up in pan until some browning begins.
- Add in blanched beans and fry for 1 minute
- Stir in honey-soy sauce and chili paste. Stir to coat. Cook for 1 more minute and serve!
