At the Washington Association of Conservation Districts Plant Materials Center, native plants are grown not for grocery shelves, but for restoration and conservation across the state. Producing nearly two million plants a year, the nursery specializes in Northwest-native trees and shrubs used for stream restoration, wildlife habitat, soil stabilization, and fire recovery. Grown from seed and harvested bare-root, these plants are designed to thrive in Washington’s landscapes with minimal maintenance.
